![]() Now that you've gotten all the collectibles, your one goal in this playthrough is to not die. Step 2: Play through the game again without dying This is also where you will want to go for the miscellaneous exploration trophies find more information under those trophy descriptions.īy the end of this step, you will have earned: rus199410 has provided an excellent video walkthrough find it HERE. However, you must collect the rest of the notes (for a total of 35 notes) to trigger the game's true ending. You only have to gather nine specific notes to be able to finish the game and there is a trophy tied to each. Step 1: Play through the game, gathering all notes and finding all campsites If you do decide to do everything in one playthrough, you will want to make judicious use of cloud/USB saving, as the game is entirely reliant on autosaving (which triggers every time you get a collectible or discover a campsite) and there is no manual save option. I have written this walkthrough under the assumption you will be playing through twice. I recommend two playthroughs: one where you gather all collectibles and learn about the game, and one no-death speedrun. While it's possible to 100% the game in a single playthrough, it's fairly tricky, as the further you explore for the collectibles, the more likely it is you'll die. The ambiance is great and Sean Bean brings a lot to his performance, but the orienteering map system is frustrating, and the game suffers from severe framerate drops for no real reason (lessened with patch 1.01). It's not bad, but there's no real substance to it. This is the kind of game to wait for a sale. You play as a nameless explorer travelling Russia's Kholat Syakhl (“Dead Mountain”), seeking answers as to what happened to the hikers involved in the Dyatlov Pass incident by way of finding scattered journal entries (think Slender or Layers of Fear). Kholat is a 2016 PS4 port of a 2015 PC survival horror/walking simulator game of the same name, based off of the unsolved 1959 Dyatlov Pass incident.
